Moorea Eco Tour is a small business with a 100% local and family dimension.
The owner Maire and his son will take turns being your captain and guide to accompany you aboard their spacious motor catamaran: Cata Manu.

Your expert guide
Maire was born and raised in Moorea; he knows his lagoon like only a boy who grew up with boats and surfboards on this idyllic island can: with authenticity, instinct, and passion.
He has been practicing for over twenty years. So you can trust this Aquaman, a true man of the lagoon and the ocean, to guide you with kindness and enthusiasm.
Since 2001, Maire has also been recognized as one of Moorea’s most talented whale guides. He is respected for his skills and his respect for the animals.
The boat
With a length of over ten meters and six meters in width, this catamaran will be your guide of choice to offer you an outing as close to nature as possible. Despite this space, only 12 passengers are allowed on board.
Come admire the landscape from its spacious deck of over forty square meters, which will offer you magnificent views of the lagoon, the island of Moorea, and the Pacific Ocean.
A protective canopy overlooks the boat to shield you from showers and the strong sun of our islands, so that your trip is as pleasant as possible.
The boat is ideally equipped with a ladder with two handrails to allow easy access for swimmers and to simplify water entry for snorkeling.

Whale season 2026
French Polynesia has strengthened certain regulations regarding whale-watching tourism.
Whale-watching operators will are limited to one boat per company, a quota with fewer swimmers (6 instead of 12), and only three boats will be allowed to approach a whale at the same time.
Spots are limited, so it is strongly recommended to book as early as possible.
